Solution architecture is the work of getting the platform design right before the build starts. We do it for our own engagements, and we do it as a standalone service for customers running their build with another partner or in-house.
The work behind the practice area.
A Dynamics 365 environment lives or dies on the architectural decisions made in the first eight weeks. Data model. Integration boundaries. Customization versus configuration. ISV strategy. Security model. Once those are wrong, every subsequent decision is a workaround.
Our solution architects have built D365 environments for global manufacturers, dealer networks, professional-services firms, energy operators, and public agencies. Several of them have worked with the Microsoft Dynamics product engineering team directly through our Innovation Committee. When a platform-level question is the right question, we have the relationship to answer it.

Architecture review of an existing environment.
Two-to-six week review of a Dynamics environment in flight or in production. Written architecture document, risk register, prioritized recommendations. Most customers run this before scaling the platform to a new region or absorbing an acquisition.

Greenfield solution architecture for a new implementation.
Full architecture set delivered before build starts — data model, integration topology, ISV decisions, customization strategy, ALM approach, security model. Built to survive scrutiny from the customer's IT and Microsoft FastTrack.

Architecture during build, when the customer is running with another partner.
Some customers run with a global SI for delivery and bring us in for architectural oversight. We sit on the architecture board, review the work, escalate when the platform decisions are drifting wrong.
