Exceed Enterprises is a workforce-readiness nonprofit serving adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. They needed an operational platform that supported placement work, ongoing job-coaching, employer relationships, and the outcome reporting that workforce funders require.

The engagement

What we walked into.

Exceed Enterprises supports adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities into and through employment — the placement work, the job coaching, the employer relationship management, and the documentation that workforce funders need to see outcomes against. It is patient, relationship-driven work that the organization has done for decades.

The platform Exceed was operating on did not match the operating reality. Client records, employer records, placement records, and outcome data lived in separate systems. The team was spending real time on data work that should have gone into client work.

What we did

    Unified client, employer, and placement model.

    One Dynamics 365 environment holding the relationship across roles — the client being supported, the employer relationship, the placement, the ongoing coaching. The team can see the full picture without three logins.

    Outcome reporting for the funder reality.

    Workforce-readiness funders ask for specific outcome metrics on specific cadences. The reporting layer was built to deliver that without manual assembly.

    Employer-relationship discipline.

    Employers who hire Exceed clients are a strategic asset for the organization. The system supports the relationship-management discipline that protects those partnerships.

    Training the Exceed team owns.

    End-user training for the staff doing the daily work. Admin training for the person who now owns the platform internally. The handoff was real.

What changed

Impact.

Exceed Enterprises operates more of its time inside client work and less inside data work. Outcome reporting goes out on the funder cadence without an internal scramble. The platform supports the placement growth the organization is targeting for the next several years.
