Microsoft Dynamics 365 is a platform. The platform covers the horizontal work well. The vertical-specific work — the way a heavy-equipment dealer actually does parts logistics, the way an oil-and-gas operator actually does well-pad inspections — lives in the ISV layer.
We work in the ISV layer three ways. We build our own vertical accelerators for the industries we know cold. We evaluate and integrate third-party ISVs when buying is the right answer. And we help partners and ISVs themselves build AppSource-grade products on Dataverse and the Power Platform.

Customer is weighing a third-party ISV for a specific vertical capability. We run a real evaluation — architecture, data model, ALM story, the vendor's actual track record — before the contract signs. Half the time the answer is 'don't buy it, build it.' Half the time the answer is 'buy it but here is how to scope the integration.'

ISV integration into a Dynamics environment.
Customer has bought an ISV and needs it integrated into their broader D365 architecture without breaking the data model. We do the integration work and the post-integration architecture review.

Customer or partner needs a vertical capability that does not exist in the market and is not going to. We build it on Dataverse, document it, and package it for AppSource if that is the strategy.
