Our Services

Project Operations.

Project Operations is Microsoft's project-driven solution — the platform for firms that sell projects, deliver projects, and bill projects. We implement and stabilize Project Ops for professional-services firms, AEC, and project-driven manufacturers.

What it is

The work behind the practice area.

Project Operations connects opportunity to quote to project plan to time entry to billing to revenue recognition, on one platform. That sequence used to live in five systems. Each handoff between them was a margin-leak point.

For the firms that adopt it correctly, Project Ops removes the spreadsheet at the seam — quoting is grounded in resource availability, time entry feeds invoicing without re-keying, revenue recognition runs against the project plan instead of an exported snapshot, and partners see live utilization in the same browser session as the pipeline.

How we deliver

The shape of an engagement.

  1. 01

Map the engagement model first, configure second.

Every firm has its own model of how a deal becomes a project. Time-and-materials. Fixed-fee. Milestone-billed. T&M with cap. We model the firm's engagement types before touching the platform, because Project Ops will faithfully reproduce whatever process you point it at, including the broken ones.

  2. 02

Configure resourcing the way partners actually staff.

Skill matrices, named resources, generic placeholders, multi-region staffing — the configuration has to match how the firm makes staffing decisions in practice, not how the org chart says it does.

  3. 03

Time and expense designed for adoption.

Consultants will not fill out a 14-field timecard. We design the entry experience so the daily entry takes under a minute, and the system fills in the rest from context. Adoption is the whole game.

  4. 04

    Project accounting that actually closes.

Revenue recognition, WIP, intercompany — the accounting team gets to close the books without spending the first week reconciling project data.

What you get

Outcomes we measure ourselves on.

Quote-to-cash cycle

Compressed because handoffs are eliminated, not just sped up.

Revenue leakage

Closed at the time-entry layer, which is where most professional-services firms lose 3-7%.

Utilization visibility

Daily, not monthly. Decisions about staffing happen against live data.

Margin per project

Visible in real time. The partner sees the project economics before the project ends, when something can still be done.
